Am I A Good Candidate For KYBELLA Injections?

Ideal candidates for KYBELLA injections have excess fat in the upper throat (submental area) that creates unwanted fullness or a double chin. This injectable addresses resistant pockets of fat that cannot be minimized with usual weight loss methods due to genetics, aging, and several other conditions. If you are at or near a healthy weight, but exercise and diet have not been able to reduce the fat in your upper neck, KYBELLA may be the optimal option for your needs. While KYBELLA can treat small or moderate amounts of fat in the upper neck, more significant pockets of fat may require surgical neck liposuction at Kiss Aesthetics.

What Should I Expect from KYBELLA® Injections?

KYBELLA® injections are completed during an in-office appointment. We can apply a numbing gel to the injected area upon request after the skin is clean. The procedure lasts 15 to 20 minutes and consists of several small injections into the submental area. Patients may only need a single treatment to get to their desired results, while others may need multiple injections spaced about three weeks apart at Kiss Aesthetics.

KYBELLA® doesn’t require anesthesia, so you can leave our office as soon as you feel comfortable. You may have short-term swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin. Call Kiss Aesthetics immediately if you feel any unusual symptoms, such as difficulty swallowing, facial muscle weakness, or if your smile is uneven. While the fat cells that are destroyed do not regenerate, the remaining cells can become larger, so you need to maintain a steady weight after your KYBELLA® treatments to maintain your results.
