Who is not a candidate for Skinpen?
Active Inflammatory Acne: Widespread, active cystic acne or open pustules must be cleared first. The needles can puncture active lesions and drag bacteria across the face, worsening the breakout.
Recent Accutane Use: Individuals who have taken oral isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6 months, as the drug thins the skin and prevents safe healing.
Active Eczema, Psoriasis, or Rosacea Flares: The mechanical friction and punctures will trigger severe inflammation and worsen active inflammatory skin conditions.
History of Keloids: People prone to forming thick, raised keloid scars, as the micro-injuries could trigger an abnormal scarring response.
Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: Elective mechanical microneedling is generally deferred to avoid any risk of infection or unpredictable, hormone-driven pigmentation changes during healing.
Post Care
Skin will look red and blotchy for 24-48 hours, feeling like a mild sun burn. Mild flaking and dry skin may occur in the following days
Refrain from exfoliating and using retinols for at least a week.
Gentle cleanser, plated intense, HA immerse, regenerating skin nectar, moisturizer, & SPF are approved for use.

Who is not a candidate for Sylfirm X®?
Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: RF microneedling has not been tested for safety on expecting or nursing mothers, and hormonal shifts can cause unpredictable pigment reactions.
Active Skin Infections: Avoid treatment if you have active cold sore outbreaks (herpes simplex), bacterial infections, open wounds, or severe eczema/psoriasis flares in the target area.
Active Cystic Acne: While highly effective for acne scars, the needles can puncture active pustules and spread bacteria across your face, worsening your breakout.
Recent Accutane Use: Individuals who have taken oral isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6 months, as it severely compromises the skin’s ability to heal from the microneedles.
Keloidal Scarring: People with a documented medical history of forming thick, raised keloid scars after minor skin injuries. [1]
